Getting Started
First things first
At this point you might feel that you need to know more prior to committing yourself to working with someone you have never met. For this reason I would invite you to make an initial appointment where we can discuss in person the reasons why you are considering counselling at this particular time in your life. Should you decide to take things forward we would generally agree to have a six session trial period in which to further assess the nature of your concern as well as to help us clarify your goals. As a general rule I aim to make myself available for as long as each client needs me, and will work collaboratively with you to decide when the goals have been met and when to end the therapy. If, however, you wished to have a specified number of sessions I would also be happy to work in a time limited way. Although of course the scope of what we could achieve, or explore would also need to be realistically assessed. There is a charge for the initial consultation as well as for any other appointments that may be scheduled.
Fees
The standard fee for an individual 50-minute session is £90. I also have a limited number of low cost spaces for those who would struggle to pay the standard fee. These spaces are offered for a maximum of two years and usually fill up very quickly. My cancellation policy and arrangements for holidays will be discussed in the initial session.
Where and when
Counselling sessions are available throughout the year with breaks at Christmas, Easter and during the summer. They take place at The Farringdon Practice (http://www.thefarringdonpractice.co.uk/) (5min walk from Farringdon Station, 10 min walk from Barbican, and 15min walk from St.Paul's).
